Therapies offered
I work with both individuals and couples. I see individuals who have had several relationships as well as individuals who have never had a relationship. I see couples wanting to attend together or separately as well as those in a multi partnered relationship.
I offer a fully flexible and bespoke style of therapy to suit your individual needs.
I am a trained Clinical Supervisor and offer supervision to therapists working with couples and/or psychosexual issues. Please contact me for more information.
Relationship Therapy involves a blend of Psychodynamic, Relational, EFT (emotionally focused therapy) and Mentalisation Based Therapy.
Psychosexual Therapy involves behavioural exercises, somatic therapy and mindfulness.
Some couples come in thinking they need to work on their sex life (‘everything is great except the sex’), however, for optimal results I will often suggest working on relational aspects (communication styles, defence mechanisms, tolerating differences) before we move onto psychosexual therapy.
So how many sessions do you need?
Therapy is not a ‘one size fits all’ process, this depends on each individual or couple. I have experience with time limited therapy (6 to 12 sessions) and long term open ended therapy. I also offer short term intensive therapy, this may be twice a week or 75 minute sessions. Your sessions are tailored to suit your needs.
Below is a list of some areas I have worked with.
